Inhalt:
Thermodynamische und kinetische Ursachen der Korrosionsreaktionen auf Grundlage der elektrochemischen Prozesse: Korrosionserscheinungen (gleichmäßige und örtliche Korrosion), Passivität der Metalle, Spannungsrisskorrosion und Hochtemperaturkorrosion enthält die Inhibition und den kathodischen Korrosionsschutz, nichtmetallische und metallische Überzüge sowie organische Beschichtungen.

Contents:
Corrosion damage as a kind of degradation of materials during service. Thermodynamic and kinetic reasons of corrosion reactions on basis of electrochemical processes. The different kinds of corrosion (uniform and local corrosion), passivity of metals, stress corrosion, cracking and high temperature corrosion are presented. Protection against corrosion contains inhibition and cathodic protection, non-metallic, metallic and organic coatings.
